# Initial Consultation The initial consultation is the starting point for finding out which type of training is most suitable for you and your dog, and how I can best support you along the way. It is a prerequisite for participation in group classes as well as individual training sessions and takes place at the training field in Schießstandgasse 6a. ## What Is the Initial Consultation About? The focus is on getting to know each other: you, your dog, and me. Every dog and handler team brings its own history, needs, and questions. To gain an authentic understanding of your situation, we talk about your current circumstances, your goals, and any challenges you may be facing in everyday life. ## What to Expect ### Getting to Know Each Other We take the time for me to observe your dog in a calm and relaxed setting and to understand your expectations and goals. This helps create a first impression of how I can best support you and your dog. ### Initial Assessment and Goal Setting We discuss the topics that are important to you and carry out an initial assessment of your dog. Together, we identify priorities and determine which next steps are likely to be most helpful. ### Training Recommendation Based on our discussion, I will provide a recommendation for the most suitable training approach and the next steps moving forward. You will receive an initial assessment of what best fits you, your dog, and your everyday life. The initial consultation lasts 60 minutes. Appointments are arranged individually and are generally available in the afternoons. Morning appointments are only available to a limited extent.
